VerHey rites held Monday
Funeral services for Mrs. Cornelia VerHey, 83 Hills, were held Monday, Feb. 15, at the Christian Reformed Church of Hills with the Rev. Julius Levering officiating.

Funeral arrangements were by the Engebretson Funeral home with burial in the Christian Reformed Cemetery. Pallbeearers were Clifford Sherwyn, Loren and Dennis VerHey, and Doyle and Ivan VandenBerg.

Mrs. VerHey died at the Luverne Community Hospital last Friday, Feb. 12, following a lingering illness.

She was born Cornelia Meuzelaar in The Netherlands on Oct. 2, 1887. She married Job VerHey at Hills on April 25, 1917.

Mrs. Verhey is survived by four sons,; William of Hills, Corine and Frank of Sioux Falls, S.D. and Leonard of Worthing, S.D.; 22 grandchildren and one great-granchild; and one sister in The Netherlands.

She was preceded in death by her husband and two daughters, Marie and Plona.

Mrs. VerHey was a member of the Christian Reformed Church of Hills.
